MALU started the way a lot of good things do, over coffee.

We're two friends on the Gold Coast who take our coffee seriously. Not in a snobby way, just in the way where the morning cup is genuinely one of the best parts of the day. Somewhere between the flat whites and the iced lattes, we realised the thing we were drinking out of never quite matched how much we loved the ritual itself.

We're both a little obsessed with design, the details, the materials, the way a beautiful object can make an everyday moment feel special. So we went looking for glassware that felt considered. Something that looked as good as the coffee tasted. And we couldn't really find it. So we decided to make it ourselves, properly.

To do it right, we partnered with a family-run glassworks who have been handblowing glass for over 80 years. This is their craft, passed down through generations, a tradition of skill and patience you simply can't replicate in a factory. Every MALU glass is shaped by hand by artisans who have spent their lives perfecting it, and honestly, that's the part we're most proud of. When you hold one, you're holding decades of family craftsmanship.
